The Hospital Nossa Senhora da Paz (HNSP) is located in Cubal, in Benguela province, Angola. Account with few health facilities that have their origin in a small Medical station is opened by a group of sisters Teresian Spanish in 1974. In that year they began to deliver health care to the local population that suffered the consequences of the intense fighting between the guerrillas angolanas, and the Portuguese troops.
For more than 43 years, 27 of them in war, in this hospital have been cared for with the utmost enthusiasm and dedication to thousands of angolanos without distinction of race, gender, religion, political ideas or economic situation. In 2008 signed a collaboration agreement with the Vall d'hebron University Hospital of Barcelona, and since then, ensures the continued presence of one of its physicians in the hospital and that their medical residents, especially in the area of infectious, be able to perform their rotations in Cubal.
Today, the HNSP is still struggling to improve the health care provided to the population of Cubal and its surroundings. The impact of the Hospital is very high due to serving a large number of people. The data registered in the year 2016 of the HSNP show us: 251 persons employed; 9.945 people seen in the service of external consultations; 6.339 people in the emergency room; 13.731 people vaccinated.
This project aims to improve the quality of healthcare that the Hospital provides to the citizens of Cubal ensuring the supply of water in the whole Hospital, through the implementation of wells. To do this he will carry out the construction of a tower and installation of a pump for start-up of a well. In this way, it is hoped to improve the conditions of hygiene and maintenance of equipment and facilities of the hospital and the personal hygiene and hydration of patients, families and Hospital staff.
