Description

The Canishield® collar 0.77gr for small and medium dogs provides long-lasting triple protection against parasites. Kills and repels the mosquito transmitting leishmaniasis (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 5 and a half months; Kills ticks (Ixodes ricinus) for 6 months; Kills fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) for 16 weeks. It is suitable for dogs from 7 weeks of age. In addition, the collar is odorless and water resistant and is safe and easy to put on thanks to its adjustable strap. Deltamethrin, the active substance contained in the collar, is constantly released by the collar rubbing against the dog's neck. Thus forming, through the lipid layer of the skin, a uniform protective barrier over the entire body of the animal. The active substance never enters the dog's bloodstream. When fleas, ticks or sandflies come into contact with Deltamethrin, they quickly become paralyzed and die. Although as temperatures rise the parasites proliferate in the environment, the animal must be protected throughout the year. For better protection it is recommended to place Beaphar Canishield® before the full season of parasitic infestations.

Instructions

Do not remove the collar from the protective envelope until just before application. Place the collar around the dog's neck and adjust it. Make sure that between the collar and the neck fit two fingers. Cut the remaining piece leaving 5cm at the end. Regularly check that the collar is neither too tight nor too loose and adjust the length if necessary by tightening the buckle and sliding the collar into the correct position. We recommend removing the Beaphar Canishield® collar when your dog goes swimming, as the active substance can affect the organisms present in the water. Thanks to the practical buckle, the collar can be removed and put on very easily. But the collar is water resistant and if it accidentally gets wet, this will not affect its operation.
