FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is an anti-parasite external that is presented in the form of solution spot-on easy-to-use and containing as active ingredients fipronil and permethrin.

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT offers your dog an excellent protective anti-flea and anti-tick and exerts an action repellent long life in front of phlebotomines, mosquitoes, flies of the establosy ticks.

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is indicated only for dogs. Do NOT USE in cats and rabbits.

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is available in 5 presentations adapted to the weight of each dog and in the format of 3 or 6 pipettes.

The fipronil is the main active ingredient in the range of products, FRONTLINE. A substance is an insecticide/acaricide which is characterized by rapidity of action, an excellent safety profile and few lasting effects.

The permethrin is a substance that belongs to the class of the pyrethroids of type 1. It is an insecticide and acaricide that exerts an action repellent against phlebotomines, mosquitoes and ticks.

The monthly use of FRONTLINE TRI-ACT will help protect your dog in areas with a high risk of diseases transmitted by phlebotomines (leishmania), mosquitoes (filariasis), ticks (babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, Lyme disease) and fleas (rickettsiosis, bartonelosis, dipilidiosis).


Effectiveness against 5 groups of ectoparasites of dogs: phlebotomines, mosquitoes and flies in stables, fleas and ticks.
Prevents infestation and eliminates fleas

Efficacy of insecticide on fleas:
• Compared to the 2 main species that infest dogs: Ctenocephalides felis and C. canis.
• Efficacy persistent of the 99% against fleas for 4 weeks, even in conditions of exposure to water (2 or 3 dives) or 1 bath with shampoo.
• Speed of action persistent in the removal of fleas for 4 weeks. Rapid efficacy, with an efficacy of >95% within the first hour during the first week and an efficiency above 99% during the first 6 hours for 4 weeks.

Repels and eliminates ticks

Combat the main species of ticks:
• 4 weeks of protection against the 3 main species of ticks infesting dogs in Europe, including Dermacentor reticulatus, the vector of babesiosis canine.

• Phlebotomines (Phlebotomus perniciosus): >90% repellency for 3 weeks and >80% for 5 weeks.
• Mosquito (Culex pipiens): ≥90.4% majority for 4 weeks
• Flies to the stable (Stomoxys calcitrans): >88,6% for 5 weeks

Weigh your dog and select the size of pipette suitable for you in light of your weight.

You can touch and catch the animal as usual as soon as it has dried the place of application of the product. Don't bathe the dog until 24 hours have passed since the application of the medication.

Treatment regimen

As protection against fleas, ticks and flying insects: application every 4 weeks in the dog.


For the efficacy of FRONTLINE TRI-ACT solution spot-on is optimal, it is important to apply the product correctly.

The contents of the pipette should be applied directly on the skin of the dog at two different points: the base of the neck and the height of the withers (between the shoulder blades).

The animal may be bathed a few days before, but for the dissemination of the medication to be optimal, the dog's skin should be dry when applying the product.

Step 1: Hold the pipette in a vertical position and cut the tip with scissors.

Step 2: Separate the hair located at the base of the neck of the dog.

FRONTLINE TRI-ACT has a mechanism of action is topical, not systemic, which means that it removes insects on contact and not through the circulatory system of the dog.

Due to the physiological characteristics of cats that prevent them from metabolizing certain compounds such as permethrin, this product can cause seizures potentially fatal in this species. In case of dermal exposure accidental, wash the cat with shampoo or soap and consult your veterinarian immediately. To prevent a cat becoming exposed accidentally to the product, keep away from the dog treated until the point of application has dried. It is important to ensure that cats do not clean or lick the site of application of a dog treated with this product.

Effectiveness of the product with water or shampoo
FRONTLINE TRI-ACT maintains its effectiveness even if the dog tried to get wet or immerse in water, for example when swimming or bathing. However, it should not be bathed with shampoo to the animal or to let him swim in the 48 hours following the application of the product. In case of frequent baths with shampoo, the duration of the drug's effectiveness may be reduced. However, there is a study that has proven that the effectiveness of the product is maintained high despite bathe the dogs 2 or 3 times a month, or even to apply shampoo once a month.

Safety of the product in dogs pregnant or lactating
Studies in laboratory animals with fipronil or permethrin have not shown teratogenic effects or embryotoxic. Studies have not been conducted with this veterinary medicinal product in dogs pregnant or lactating, and therefore the product should only be used on the recommendation of a veterinarian after an assessment of benefit-risk.

Safety in puppies
The product can be used in puppies from 8 weeks of age and with a minimum weight of 2 kg

The product has been shown to have a good margin of safety in real conditions and in laboratory conditions if it is used as indicated in the prospectus and in the tab technique, as well as after the administration of doses higher than recommended.

The product was well tolerated in puppies and adult dogs with a dose up to 5 times the maximum recommended dose.
