Papilla para Ninfas PSITTACUS Mini 5kg

It is a porridge designed to raise manually, from the week of age, small granivorous psittacine birds (carolinas, lovebirds, parakeets ...). Contains whole dehydrated egg.  It also contains papaya, favoring digestive transit. Its use is recommended until the moment of emancipation.

These small parrots have a crop capacity and very diverse food habits depending on the species and stage of development. For example, if on average parrots ingest 7 to 10 ml of porridge per 100 g of weight, nymphs ingest without problems up to 17 ml per 100 g of weight and take when they are fledging (especially in the first and last shot of the day).  The fundamental thing is to make sure that before each meal the baby's crop is completely empty and that we take into account the degree of satiety that the chick explicitly demands the food with greater or lesser intensity. The number of shots and the amount of porridge to be supplied must always be based on the capacity and correct emptying of the crop, but also on the food requirements that the bird itself expresses.

We recommend supplying the porridge with a syringe with a soft probe made of virgin rubber or silicone. This is the method we use in our breeding center because it is the safest and cleanest. We recommend stimulating the animal by pressing the lateral corners of the beak to provoke swallowing movements, before the introduction of the probe.
